About PHC

Panhandle Homeschool Connection (PHC), located in Sidney, NE, is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization dedicated to fostering community and connection among local homeschool families.

Mission

Our mission is to provide enriching experiences through co-op classes, field trips, social activities, and mentorship groups, all while upholding a Christian Worldview.

At Panhandle Homeschool Connection, we believe in the power of community-driven education. Our volunteer-led co-op classes are designed to emphasize projects over papers and inspiration over instruction. We focus on promoting positive character development, creativity, and collaboration in a fun, engaging environment among peers.

Be the Village

We understand that homeschooling is a journey best taken together. While we are not here to educate your children, we strive to build a supportive community where families can learn and grow together.

PHC operates as a true cooperative—this means 100% parent participation is essential to our model. Between teaching classes, helping in classrooms, or serving on planning committees, each family's involvement is vital to the success of our group. Our co-op thrives because every parent brings their time, talents, and commitment to the table, helping create a rich and vibrant community for all our children.

Our Co-Op

We offer over 50 classes that meet weekly, 24 times a year from Sept - April, that present consistent opportunities for connection and shared learning experiences. Subjects typically include: Writing, Art, Social Studies, Life Skills, STEM, Science, and more.
